Club & Societies at School

Concert Band

The School's flagship ensemble for wind, brass, and percussion players, which plays varied repertoire for intermediate to advanced musicians. We will develop our playing on a weekly basis through listening and tuning exercises, as well as practising key skills like sight-reading. A must for anyone aiming to take a higher grade on their instrument. All players should be Grade 6 or above.

The Dependent is the school's satirical magazine: think Private Eye, the Daily Mash or TV programmes like Have I Got News for You or Mock the Week. Last year's editions featured articles about 24 Hours of Music, Roadman to Sprezzatura and the chaplain's assemblies, to name a few! There is a preliminary meeting towards the end of the first half-term of each term, which then gives you time to write a piece ready for publication near the end of each term. The first meeting this term will be w/c 19 th May! Look out for further details in the weekly bulletin or speak to Mrs Shockley or Miss Trafford.
