Philosophy Discussion Society (Phil Soc)

Philosophy Discussion Society (Phil Soc) provides a unique forum for informal, student-led debate to tackle some of the most pressing issues of our time. Before the discussion commences, attendees are introduced to a particular thinker or school of thought, after which they are free to explore the complex nuances of these highly topical (and perhaps controversial) subjects. Phil Soc is open to all Upper School students as well as budding philosophers in the Middle School, regardless of whether they study RS or Philosophy. Come along to RP18 during the Hour on Thursdays to engage in demanding conversations, question your preconceptions and challenge everything you thought you already knew.
