Matthew Gourdin (1999–2004) Matthew Gourdin is the International Commercial Lead at BARK, the world’s most dog-obsessed company. BARK aims to make dogs and their people happier through innovatory toys, treats and experiences. BARK’s latest venture is BARK Air, the first air-travel scheme for dogs and people, offering flights from New York, Los Angeles, London and Paris. After an early career in the British Army, including a tour in Afghanistan, Matthew moved into marketing, helping brands like Bulldog Skincare for Men grow into household names.

Rithik Karia (2013–2018) Rithik Karia is running the London Marathon in 2025 in aid of Phab. He says, ‘during my time at Merchant Taylors’, I saw first-hand what an amazing experience it is for everyone on the week-long Phab camp held at school. Seeing this profound effect has made me want to continue supporting Phab beyond school. That is why I am running the Marathon’. Rithik’s brother, Rahul (2011–2016), is helping Rithik with his training.
