VEX Robotics: World Champions On Saturday 29th May the World Championship took place with MTS boys competing against teams from the USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Puerto Rico, amongst others. With just two matches to go, team 13765A (MTS Eclipse) performed an outstanding programming run backed up by superb driver skills and the team pulled out a season-best score to win their division by just one point. MTS Eclipse were thus crowned Vex World Championship Division Champions.

Macbeth On 18th November MTS actors performed an abridged version of Shakespeare's Macbeth . Boys also had the opportunity to take part in a professional filming of the event which was shown as a YouTube premiere on Friday 3rd December. It was a fantastic production which allowed boys to embrace a challenging play after a long hiatus from live theatre.

Autumn Concert On 11th November the School welcomed audiences back on site for the annual Autumn Concert. The evening was filled with enjoyable music covering over 500 years and there was something for everyone, ranging from Susato to Christopher Tin. It was a great return for live concerts at MTS.

Biology Department extension

The Biology Department was extended over the summer with the addition of two new labs and the refurbishment of the original four. All Biology staff now have an allocated laboratory and the refurbishment has transformed the learning environment. There are also two new resources rooms on the upper floor for Sixth Formers, which enables them to hone their research skills.
