Class of 2003 20-year reunion

school's growth both financially and as volunteers for the school. This year we also hosted a lunch for those who have made provision for the school in their wills, and it was wonderful to welcome this important group of supporters to tours of school and a delicious lunch at the OMT Clubhouse. Our annual Afternoon Tea for those who left school 45 years or more ago is a delightful walk down memory lane. Reminiscences and stories flowed as friendships were rekindled among the 70 OMTs and their guests who attended. The Great Hall was transformed, serving a traditional cream tea, and entertainment was provided by the excellent violinist Kian Conte (Fourth Form). Our youngest OMTs and parents of OMTs returned to school for our annual barbecue in September. Undeterred by the roasting September sun, the largest number of guests to attend this event enjoyed a barbecue from OMT Clubhouse caterers, Dolce Passione, and drinks, including ale from Rebellion Brewery, served by the school catering staff. This year we have also co-hosted after-work drinks in London at the Bishop’s Finger in Smithfield. The functions room upstairs offers a private bar and plenty of space to network and we were delighted that there was great support for this event – we’ll be running it again soon! For cricket enthusiasts, the Middlesex County Cricket Club T20 Blast and County Championship fixtures in the summer were the chance to see First Class cricket at Merchant Taylors’ School and we were delighted that many of the Indoor Cricket Centre supporters were able to attend with us.
