Salman is currently Clinical Lead in the Department of Surgery at the Whittington Hospital in North London, where he also heads the inflammatory bowel disease service. He holds an honorary contract at University College Hospital where he undertakes colorectal cancer surgery. Salman has a passion for surgical education and during his junior career spent time as a Teaching Fellow at Imperial College. He is currently a tutor and examiner for undergraduate students at UCL medical school and runs an annual ‘Introduction to Medicine’ shadowing programme at his NHS Trust for prospective medical students. After leaving MTS, Salman attended Imperial College School of Medicine before completing his higher surgical training in the London North East Thames Deanery.
