As sustainability consultants for the built environment, Rachel and Ben work closely with the design teams and construction teams of buildings to be newly constructed or refurbished, to ensure they are implementing the most sustainable features possible. This can range from specifying a structure that consists of low embodied carbon materials, to installing efficient heating systems with renewable energy sources, to ensuring the building can be disassembled and reused at the end of its life instead of being demolished

James is a Civil and Structural Consultant (Design Engineer) working in a range of sectors such as Education, Residential, Commercial and Industrial. His day-to-day work involves the effective management and implementation of successful building and infrastructure design projects comprising the design and specification of the building foundations (substructure), primary frame structure (superstructure) and associated external works. Cameron’s primary role as a technician is to produce drawings for construction projects that the contractors on site will work from. He takes on extra responsibilities including training junior members of staff and looking after work-experience students.
