achievement; reaching the quarterfinals places them among the top eight teams in the entire country. Congratulations to the entire team on their outstanding performances. Mr M. S. T. Hughes Squad: J. U15B As we reach the halfway mark of the cricket season, it is time to reflect the on the U15B’s season thus far. The unpredictable English weather has been a fitting metaphor for our batting performances; we have struggled to find consistency; this team is better than our current record of 1 win and 4 defeats. However, Rishaan’s 32 against Berkhamsted was a fine display of hard hitting, while Roop’s composed innings of 32 against St Paul’s showcased determination and skill. While our batting may have been inconsistent, our bowlers have truly shone, often making up for the lack of scoreboard pressure. Dhaya Thind’s three wickets against Berkhamsted and Freddie Ellis’s hat-trick against St Paul’s exhibited control and guile to outfox the opposition. Leaders Tiviyan Thevarajah and Thomas Easterbrook

have consistently instilled a positive attitude and the group finished the first half of the season excited about what they could achieve in the second. Mr R. Y. Evans Squad: T. Thevarajah, T. U15C The U15C cricket team started their season with an impressive winning streak, securing close victories in their first three games. However, their recent performances have been marred by two defeats against Haileybury and Berkhamsted. Despite these setbacks, the team demonstrated commendable skills and remained amicable sportsmen throughout each match. Captain Ayoush Seneviratne was also our wicket keeper, but his influence extended well beyond this role. Our early victories were inspired by his careful setting of the field, his ability to make crucial decisions under pressure, and his strong batting and bowling. The first two games were expertly captained by all-rounder Dylan Lakhani, an arbiter of cricket knowledge. Notable mentions also go to Adi Shah and Ishaan Patel for their impressive bowling performances. They displayed exceptional skill and control, claiming three wickets each across two matches. Their accurate line and length, coupled with clever variations, proved to be a challenge for opposing batsmen, resulting in vital breakthroughs for the team. Jamie Sanderson and Rocco Grimshaw have been particularly dependable batsmen throughout the season. While the recent defeats against Haileybury and Berkhamsted were disappointing, they served as crucial learning experiences for the team. They showed resilience and determination even in the face of adversity, highlighting their potential for future success. Looking ahead, the team will work on areas that need improvement. Strengthening their batting will be key focus areas to ensure a

U15A The U15A team enjoyed an exceptional start to the season, showcasing their talent and determination on the field. They achieved impressive victories against formidable opponents such as Hampton, St Paul’s, and Whitgift, and their exceptional performance in the National Cup has been a true testament to their skill and teamwork. The highlight of the season thus far came in the last 16 of the National Cup, where they faced off against Stowe in a thrilling encounter. In this highly anticipated match, the team delivered a sensational performance, securing a memorable victory. The hero of the day was Rahul Rajkumar, who played a remarkable innings, scoring a magnificent hundred. Rahul’s batting skills, along with a five-wicket haul from Reeyen Ruparelia simply overwhelmed the opposition; the boys were justly proud. However, the team faced a setback in the quarter-finals of the National Cup, where they encountered a strong opponent in Epsom School. Though they fought valiantly, the boys narrowly missed out on advancing to the next stage of the competition. Nevertheless, they should be immensely proud of their
