Concordia Magazine 2025
As always, this can only ever be a brief overview of our activities, and there is much more going on that I haven’t mentioned. Please do get involved if you aren’t already, whether by coming to visit, attending events here or away from School, contributing to Concordia or Parvae Res , volunteering, or supporting the Merchant Taylors’ Fund. Thank you for all your support this year and for staying in touch. Nick Latham Director of Development and Alumni Relations
It feels far too early for farewells, but readers will be aware that Simon Everson retires in 2026. Simon has been a hugely popular Head Master. Pupils and parents will have opportunities at the end of the academic year to say goodbye and to offer thanks, and OMTs will see him at many events throughout the year. However, I know Simon will not want the year to be a farewell tour, so we are organising a special event for OMTs on Saturday 27 June. Simon has had a huge impact on OMTs of all ages — not just those who were pupils under his headship — so I hope I shall see many of you here for that event to say goodbye.
I mentioned last year that there had been a change in chair of the Development and Alumni Relations Committee, with Deepak Haria stepping down and Chris Williams (1977–1983) taking over. We are indebted to this sub-committee of Governors, who support our work in fundraising, alumni relations and much more. We aim to have representation from OMTs of all ages and interests, parents of pupils of the Prep and Senior Schools and parents of OMTs. If you are interested in joining this board, please get in touch and I should be delighted to tell you more about what it entails.
