MTneSters’ and Recent Leavers’ Lunch

The event was also a reminder of the enduring OMT network and the strength of the School community. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to witness the connections that continue to thrive beyond School life.

At the beginning of the autumn term, over 200 recent leavers and parents of OMTs gathered in the Exam Hall and Rose Garden for the Recent Leavers’ Barbecue and MTneSters’ Lunch. Despite the cool weather, the atmosphere was warm and cheerful as the Head Master and members of the SCR welcomed attendees. The event brought together the last five years of leavers, who were clearly delighted to reconnect with each other and the SCR. Guests shared stories of university life, gap-year adventures and postgraduate studies. We were especially grateful for the many offers of support and careers advice for current students. Parents also returned — some whose sons had left recently and others whose ties to the School go back more than a decade. Their presence added to the sense of community and continuity that defines Merchant Taylors’ School.
