Careers Events

There are lots of opportunities to become involved in supporting careers education at Merchant Taylors’ School. You can share your expertise and insights with boys from Upper Thirds and older. If you have already indicated a willingness to volunteer, we will write to you soon with details of how you could help at specific events; please email events@mtsn.org.uk if you would like to add your name to the list of OMT and parent volunteers.

School Archives’ Day Tuesday 10 March 2026, Merchant Taylors’ School Following the inaugural School Archives’ Day in 2025, Isabel Hesketh, the School’s Archivist, will be giving further opportunities for OMTs to return to view some of the extraordinary artefacts in the School’s collection. This year has seen a surge in interest in the Archive from the boys — and they have even re-formed the Archaeology Society. If you would like to come back to join the event, please email events@mtsn.org.uk. Concerts and Plays OMTs are welcome to attend concert and plays at School throughout the year. Please put these dates in your diaries and look out for information about how to reserve your places on the events page of the School website. OMT Society The OMT Society organises a variety of lunches and dinners at which members of the Society can enjoy a delicious meal in excellent venues. The Society also holds regular after-work drinks in London and is keen to host more outside the capital. If you, with the support of the Society, would like to help organise an informal after-work drink in your area, please email development@mtsn.org.uk. Ace that Interview 14 to 16 January 2026, Merchant Taylors’ School An opportunity for all Upper Sixth students to prepare a job application for a specific role and to conduct an online interview with an OMT or parent volunteer. Later in the year there will also be the opportunity to bring your expertise to school as we run a carousel of workshops about mastering interviews and assessment centres at the Lower Sixth Future Ready Day (Friday 22 May 2026).
