international remembrance events, which enhances the cadets’ involvement and instils a sense of pride in representing the UK’s Armed Forces. Friday parade afternoons are fundamental in nurturing personal growth among all cadets and honing leadership skills for the Sixth Formers as non-commissioned officers (NCOs). This year’s senior appointments were: • Cadet Under Officer Zoe Wright, responsible for leading the cadets in the Contingent. • WO1 Sarah Harrison (Royal Navy)
• Sgt Panav Goyal continues as Bandmaster. He has been recognised for his achievements as Bandmaster and will receive a Deputy Lord Lieutenant Certificate as one of the outstanding Greater London Cadets this year. • A new appointment was Sgt Ciaran Davies, who became MTS CCF’s first band Drum Major. The Contingent was proud to be the only the CCF in the country invited to take part in the Ypres Armistice Parade in Belgium. Marching through the city to the Menin Gate and going on a battlefields tour of the Western Front enabled the cadets to
