Music and Concerts

It has been an extremely busy year for the Music Department. Here are the highlights:

Choral Evensong at Chichester Cathedral 22nd June 2022

The Chamber Choir travelled to the wonderful Chichester Cathedral to sing Choral Evensong. Highlights included Thomas Tertius Noble’s Evening Canticles in B minor on the organ, and the soaring treble lines in Malcolm Archer’s anthem ‘At the Round Earth’s Imagined Corners’. The choir met the challenge of singing a psalm to Anglican chant, producing a well-articulated and contemplative rendering.

Choral Evensong at Trinity College, Oxford 26th June 2022

The Chamber Choir also travelled to Trinity College to sing Evensong, and it was fantastic to see and hear pupils, staff, parents and the congregation joining together in song. The service closed with Mr Collins playing a rousing rendition of J.S. Bach’s Toccata in F major on the organ.
