Equestrianism W eÖYe had another great year in (Tuestrianism. 0ondays inYolYed us worNing towards our %ritish +orse 6ociety &hallenge $wards. +aYing successfully passed our 6ilYer exams we are now worNing towards *old which will be completed next academic year. More recently, there was a miniature dressage competition between members of the riding team. For all members of the team, it was a first opportunity at dressage – and an exciting one! Riding has also continued as an option for boys lower down the school on Fridays. It has proved a popular activity and is going from strength to strength. I would like to thank Littlebourne Equestrian Centre and its proprietor, Caroline Dent, as well as the wonderful array of coaches who have taught the team, primarily Ben Mitchell Winter and Chloe Shiner. A huge thank you goes to Mrs Udell for running, organising and leading Equestrianism. Her expertise, enthusiasm and hard work make this option so successful and enjoyable. We also say a massive thank you to Mrs Stubbs for all her help and encouragement. Ollie Costigan (L6th)
Rowing has gradually become the highlight of my week. It offers a much-needed break from the busy pace of school life. Through rowing I have learned valuable lessons in perseverance, resilience, and goal setting. It has also pushed me to step out of my comfort zone.
